Karen has been part of the Music Waves educational community since 2009. Her acumen for Piano and Violin grew at an exponential rate and at the early age of 12 she was awarded one of the most prized Music scholarships at Queenwood.
She completed her AMusA in Piano. AMusA is a diploma awarded by examination to outstanding candidates in the fields of musical performance and music theory by the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).
She is completing her Bachelors degree in Performance at The Sydney Conservatorium.
Karen was mentored by Rachel Christopher, the Founder of Music Waves, for 5 years. They have a similar style, one which is patient and understanding, but also balancing structure, goals with elements of student-directed inquiry.
She is experienced in ensemble preparation including orchestra and string quartet.
Karen has a studio in Cromer but she also offers drive-to-you across suburbs including Wheeler Heights, Narraweena and Dee Why.
